Arioso bass clarinets are made of natural, unalloyed hard rubber for evenness of response and consistency of tone. In using hard rubber for the body, there is no worry of cracking or warping due to temperature changes, and internal dimensions such as bore size and tone hole diameter remain constant. Arioso bass clarinets also feature acoustical improvements of many common tuning and response faults of the bass clarinet, including the notoriously sharp bell B and C. The tone quality of Arioso bass clarinets is at once resonant, warm, and dark, and produces round tones throughout the complete range. Though possessing solo power, the Arioso tone color is ideal for its blending capabilities, making any one of the Arioso bass clarinet models an excellent ensemble instrument.
